In the UK this really is only something that is providede by you dentist, In other countries espcially North America home whitening is availible over the counter in pharmacies. For example Crest Whitening Strips are very effective.
Whitening can cause an increase in sensitivity for the duration of use. I does no harm but can be uncomfortable. However there are products that are excellent for sensitivity relief both generally and when whitening. For example Colegate have a great new product out that is great at stopping sensitivity. My patients report great relief
