Implants for your patients

There are a number of ways in which you can become involved with implants. This will not only build your practice but will also ensure that you satisfy the GDC requirements for Standards of Practice and offer your patients the best level of care.

If you already feel confident with patient selection criteria and are looking to refer patients to an experienced implantologist, you can download the patient referral form or complete online. Ian will always be happy to discuss specific cases with you, and if you’d like to arrange a practice visit for you and any of your team will be able to arrange that for you. Please refer to our commitment.

For those GDP's who would like to be able to refer their patients and then to restore the implants themselves, The Aquae Sulis Implant Clinic periodically runs a clinical coaching course to provide the training required. This 3 module course will cover all aspects of dental implants to enable the practitioner to fully understand what implants has to offer their patients and to enable them to restore the implants that we place. Please contact Ian Bellamy to discuss your needs.

For dentists who are already referring patients, you may want to join our Aquae Sulis Dental Study Club, where cases will be shared and discussed, and Ian will provide updates from the world of Implantology. Members of the Study Club have the ability to visit the practice with their patients and team.

Finally for those already experienced in restoring implants may wish to progress to placing implants themselves. This involves considerable training which is greatly helped by working with a mentor who is available to help with all aspects from treatment planning to the surgical procedure. Ian already acts in a mentor capacity for a number of practitioners and will be happy to discuss this option with you.

If you would like to discuss any of these options in any more detail, please call Ian Bellamy on: 01225 339767 or email ian@aquaesulisdental.co.uk. You can also ask Ian questions on specific cases.
