Dr. Ian Bellamy

Ian Bellamy is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI), The European Association of Osseointegration (EAO), the Faculty of General Dental Practice (Royal College of Surgeons of England) and the British Dental Association (BDA).

Having achieved an honours degree in Microbiology with microbial genetics, Ian then studied Dentistry at Dundee University, qualifying in 1991. He studied further in implants and advanced restorative dentistry and began placing implants on taking over the Aquae Sulis practice in 1998. Since then he has restored over 1,000 cases!

 Ian’s career has seen him study with world leaders in the subjects of implantology in both Europe and the USA, including working at the internationally renowned Branemark clinic in Gothenburg. He is one of very few dentists to complete the exacting Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in London – and in doing so also gained the advanced certificate in bone manipulation and regeneration.

Ian has taught and mentored other dentists for many years in implantology and is also a mentor for Astra Tech Dental, a leading manufacturer of implants.
